All domes 7" or larger fit our
remote control base with most webcams including Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000 if
you are not using a mounting bracket.
If you want to wall mount the dome, use a 90
degree wall bracket for the video system, and drill a 3/4 inch hole in the
wall for the cables, you can get by with a 12" dome.

For easy access that allows the dome to be secured. On one
side you install a hinge, sort of like your hinge on your kitchen
cabinet or like your homes bedroom door hinge but smaller as seen here
on the left side. On the other side you have a latch with a
padlock. Just unlock the padlock, unclasp the latch and the
dome swings down just like a kitchen cabinet door swings open, the hinge allows you easy access to open up your dome.
Our products do NOT need a blower and heater
in order to be used outside in the cold winter, unlike more expensive
outdoor domes and cameras.

Leaving room for a mounting bracket of some type
like our tripod mount, we still need 7 inches of clearance. This means you
need a 14 inch half dome. It leaves a lot of room for a hub or router and
some cables.
If you want to recommend a package, I would recommend adding the tripod
mount to make it easier for the customer.
Now, if they want to wall mount the dome, use a 90 degree wall bracket for
the TrackerPod, and drill a 3/4 inch hole in the wall for the cables, they
can get by with a 10" dome.
